On Friday 11 March the Hull Magicians' Circle are holding their annual Connolly Shield Competition in Hessle Town Hall.

This very popular stage magic competition, which has been running since the 1950s is this year being held in support of the fund raising efforts of the Hessle and District Branch of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution.

Four acts will be taking part in what promises to be an excellent evenings entertainment a panel of three judges will decide the winner and the event organisers are looking forward to a large and enthusiastic audience to support the acts.
